New research reveals children’s writing crisis

The National Literacy Trust's latest report reveals that children and young people’s enjoyment of writing and daily writing habits are at crisis point. We know that writing for enjoyment boosts creativity, wellbeing and academic success, yet 7 in 10 children and young people don’t enjoy writing, and 9 in 10 don’t write daily in their free time. This is the highest levels ever recorded by the National Literacy Trust.
