Brought to you by the Reading Agency, the Reading Ahead programme builds reading confidence, skills and encourages everyone to read more. The programme is aimed at young people and adults who are less confident readers and those who want to improve their literacy and language skills or get back into reading. It is run in prisons, public libraries, colleges, adult community learning centres and workplaces across the UK.
Reading Ahead is an annual programme that can be delivered throughout the year. The 2024-25 Reading Ahead cycle launched on Friday 23 August 2024 and will end on Friday 4 July 2025.
