This year's 500 Words competition is now open for entries! Children have until 8 November to enter their stories. 

Librarians and teachers who are passionate about children's writing can sign up to be volunteer judges for this year's BBC 500 Words competition. You'll read stories from children across the country and play a role in choosing this year's winner - find out more.
